Nowadays we can observe fundamental changes in Russian design industry. This happens because CAD technology fails to meet the requirements of modern developers.
Now more and more companies start to implement BIM technology (Building Information Modeling).
Moreover, the government recognized the importance of BIM implementation.
The Ministry of Construction and Communal Services of the Russian Federation has approved a plan of introduction of BIM technologies in the sphere of industrial and civil design and construction. There is a stable growing demand for highly qualified specialists in BIM design.
We understand trends and prospects of design and construction industry. Our company is an active supporter and participant of international BIM technology implementation using Building Design Suite software (Autodesk).
Since 2010 our company has successfully applied BIM technology in design of buildings and structures based on Autodesk software products. We are partners of Autodesk company for implementation of BIM technology in design and construction organizations.
In 2015 SibTechProekt consulted «Monolitproekt Engineering» LLC (Krasnoyarsk) on using BIM technology in design. This company is a part of the largest holding company "Monolitholding", which includes companies of different spheres: investment, industry, construction, design and service.
Implementation of BIM technology was based on Autodesk Revit software (CAD) and APMS «Initiator» (Automated Project Management System).
The seminars were held in Krasnoyarsk (Siberia), where the headquarters of «Monolitproekt Engineering» LLC is located.
SibTechProject specialists are designers who have experience in application and implementation of BIM technology in organization and also understand real processes of modern design.
The program had several stages and was adapted for the needs of the company.
1. Pre-design arrangement on launching BIM design
This stage included: analysis of structure of the company, analysis of the company's IT infrastructure, analysis of company's local network structure, preparation of Revit template for the launching of the system, development of measures for modernization of the company and creation of a detailed work plan.
2. Theoretical part
This stage included: professional training and real design (Autodesk Revit 2015 interface, program features of Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Revit Structure, Autodesk Revit MEP, modeling of building layout, creating families, modeling of engineering systems, preparation of documentation, etc.).
3. Piloting BIM design
This stage included: support of the project on the main sections of working documentation, testing designers for product knowledge, technical support.
After finishing seminars the stuff of the Client's company performed independent work to consolidate skills. Several people of the company were recommended for the position of BIM-coordinators because of their knowledge and potential for such work.
The seminars started in February 2015 and finished in July 2015. 12 leading specialists of the company were trained.
As a result of the training Client's specialists acquired theoretical and practical skills of applying information modeling technology, consolidated the use of the program, learned to create unique objects (families), acquired the skill of a parallel design – each designer performs his part of the project at the same time with other specialists. In the future, specialists of the company would be able to create projects using BIM technologies.
